Randall Clyde Pierce, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, born September 10, 1937 passed away November 30, 2016. He was a graduate of Normal Park, The Baylor School, Class of '55, where he was a battalion commander and football player, and Vanderbilt University, Class of '59, where he belonged to Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and participated in the sport of wrestling. Randall Clyde Pierce, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, born September 10, 1937 passed away November 30, 2016. He was a graduate of Normal Park, The Baylor School, Class of '55, where he was a battalion commander and football player, and Vanderbilt University, Class of '59, where he belonged to Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and participated in the sport of wrestling. Mr. Pierce worked at American National Bank and was the owner of Clyde Pierce Sales. He was a Member of First Centenary United Methodist Church, where he attended the Morgan Sunday School class. He also was a Member of Chattanooga Golf and Country Club. His greatest love, beyond his family, was his trips to the beach, where he enjoyed the ocean, sunsets, seafood, golf, tennis, and being with friends. Some of his favorite vacations were his trips to Sea Island, Georgia and Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. His friends say that no one could cook a tenderloin like Randall. Mr. Pierce was preceded in death by his son Randall "Bo" Pierce Jr., his stepson Dr. Francis Fesmire Jr, and his parents Margaret and Clyde Pierce. Survivors include his wife of 37 years Carolyn Pierce, daughters: Holly (Chase) Ambler and Mary Katharine (Joe) Austin. Step daughters: Carolyn (David) Castor, Mary Ann (Peter) Emanuel. Daughter In-law: Connie Fesmire. Grandchildren: Mary McGowan Austin, Charlie Austin, Will Ambler, Kate Ambler, Alix (Whit) Swafford, Zion (Cassie) Castor, Mary Julia Emanuel, Elizabeth Emanuel, Catherine Emanuel, Forrest Fesmire, Hunter Fesmire and great-grandchild, Maddie Castor. Cousins: Nancy Wade, Jo Ann (Ed) Jones, Linda Gettle, Rogers (Marcia) Wade, and his former wife, Lee Hedges Pierce. We would like to thank Dr. John McCravey, his lab techs and the Erlanger Infusion Center. We encourage all those who are able, please donate blood and platelets - it does make a difference!

Visitation will be at First Centenary United Methodist Church on Sunday December 4th from 1:30 - 3:00 pm followed by the service in the Kate Lyle West Chapel at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers please donate to First Centenary United Methodist Church, Emily's Power for a Cure, or your favorite charity.
